Even offline, transactions may be completed using a phone. Launch of the Samsung Galaxy A24 with Samsung Pay

Samsung Galaxy A24k

Samsung presented the Galaxy A24, a brand-new smartphone, in Vietnam last month. The entry-level handset was subsequently introduced in a number of regional markets. And today, the Samsung Galaxy A24 model was unveiled in South Korea, the company’s native market. The cost of the gadget is 3,96,000 Korean Won, or around 24,500 Indian rupees.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 smartphone has a somewhat different design in Korea than it did when it first appeared in other regional markets. Because it has a function that Samsung decided to remove from its smartphones in 2021, despite how essential it is. MST-Enable Samsung Pay is the name of this function. MST is an acronym for “Magnetic Secure Transmission,” just in case. The card swipe operation at any PoS terminal is simulated by this functionality. However, earlier Samsung smartphones with Samsung Pay can also make purchases at PoS devices without NFC technology.

The South Korean tech juggernaut was the first to discontinue Samsung Pay on its Galaxy S21 line. However, given that NFC-capable PoS terminals are now widely accessible, it’s possible that the business has opted to reinstate the feature. Whether the aforementioned function will be reintroduced with the Galaxy A24 phone in other areas as well or whether it will only be available in Korea is currently unknown. However, it appears that customers will profit immensely if the Samsung Pay functionality is made accessible in other regional markets as well.

However, it is said that the Samsung Galaxy A24 smartphone would only be offered in the South Korean market in the colors Black, Light Green, and Dark Red. Once more as part of the launch promotion, Samsung is providing a 6-month membership to Microsoft 365 Basic and a 2-month free trial of YouTube Premium.

Regarding the technical details, the 6.5-inch Full HD Plus Super AMOLED (sAMOLED) display panel on this Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphone has a 90 Hz refresh rate. The CPU is a MediaTek Helio G99. The model in issue has a 50-megapixel main sensor at the back camera unit that supports OIS for capturing images. For security, there is a side fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W wired fast charging capability for backup power.
