Xiaomi announced their partnership with Leica this year ,well-known camera technology maker. And in its continuation, Xiaomi announced its first smartphone, Xiaomi 12S series, in partnership with Leica. The Xiaomi 12S series includes the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra. Xiaomi 12S Ultra
The main attraction of this series is the 12S series Ultra phone. The main feature of the Xiaomi S12S Ultra is the one-inch IMX 989 main sensor paired with Sony. The pixel size of this 50 megapixel sensor is 1.6-micron.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra’s splendor is not limited to the main sensor. If you forget about the 48 megapixel IMX56 Ultravide camera in the phone, it will not work, which will also help in macro mode. There is another IMX56 periscope camera which will help in 5x optical zoom. Hyper OIS stabilization has been added to enhance the phone’s video recording. Both the relatively less expensive Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro phones have Leica branded cameras. These two devices have Sony IMX606 main camera.
The Xiaomi 12S Pro has a 6.73-inch Quad HD + OLED display like the Ultra model. With a 4,600 mAh battery, this phone supports 120 watt wired charging and 50 watt wireless charging. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12S phone has a more compact design than the Pro and Ultra models. The phone has a 6.26-inch full HD + OLED panel, which has a 120 Hz refresh rate like the other two phones. The Xiaomi 12S phone has 8 watt wired charging as well as 50 watt wireless charging support. The phone has a 50-megapixel main camera as well as a 13-megapixel ultraviolet lens and a 5-megapixel tele macro lens.
Snapdragon 6 + Zen1 chipset has been used as the processor in both these phones. You can choose RAM 8/12 GB and storage 128/256/512 GB.
Price of Xiaomi 12S series
Xiaomi 12S series phones are currently only released in China. The phones are expected to be seen in the international market soon.
The Xiaomi 12 S Ultra 6 / 256GB is priced at 5,999 yuan (900). The 12 / 512GB Max variant will be available for 8,999 Yuan or 1,150.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12 S Pro 8 / 128GB will be available at 4,699 Yuan or 800. The Xiaomi 12S Pro with 12 / 512GB top variant will be priced at 5,699 Yuan or 60.
The Xiaomi 12S starts at 3,999 yuan (800). The 12 / 512GB top model is available for 5,199 yuan or 60.
Xiaomi also announced the Dimension Edition of Xiaomi 12 Pro at the same event as the release of the 12S series. Powered by MediaTek Dimension 9000+, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 5,160 mAh battery and 8 watts of fast charging. The other specifications of the phone are the same as the Snapdragon edition .
