Popular smartphone brand Honor has been continuously launching new devices in the market lately. Because the company aims to be one of the leading brands in China, at least its home market. The company is currently said to be preparing to launch a new flagship smartphone named Honor Magic 5. And now a tipster has revealed important information about the processor of this phone. Honor Magic 5 will have Qualcomm’s flagship processor
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims in its latest Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post that the upcoming flagship Honor Magic 5 smartphone will feature an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Let us know that Qualcomm is going to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at their annual conference in the next few weeks. All leading smartphone manufacturers are expected to launch handsets powered by the SD8G2 chip soon after the launch of this processor.
Incidentally, recent reports have mentioned that the Honor Magic 5 will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor with artificial intelligence-based Image Signal Processor (ISP) tuning for better results. The Honor Magic 5 is rumored to sport a 5.8-inch display, which will support PWM dimming and offer a higher refresh rate, possibly 120 Hz. For water and dust resistance, the device will have an IP68 rating and the phone’s battery will support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
